Tyrel
Tyrel approaches space with a builder’s hands and a designer’s eye. After a decade working alongside marketing executives as a consultant, he shifted his focus to what he enjoys most: architecture, design, and contracting.
After buying my first home in 2020, I worked 16-hour days for four straight months—alongside several uncles—to convert a single-family home into an owner’s suite with additional rentable units. We reframed multiple spaces and reimagined how the home could function and generate income.
With new laws related to accessory dwelling unit (ADU), I am working on turning my garage into a two level studio for an office for my wife.
They call on me to help them rethink layouts, unlock unused space, and make their homes work harder—whether that means reconfiguring rooms, adding storage, or planning smart renovations.
KaRon
KaRon’s creative life started early. She dreamed of being an architect, earned a spot in Pratt Institute’s Junior Artist Program, and saw her future clearly—until a family conversation rerouted her onto a different track. That detour led to a 15+ year career in tech strategy and M&A, but design never stopped calling.
In 2017, I bought my first home and dove in headfirst—six months of hands-on training with my father and uncle. I learned the ropes of drywall, insulation, paint, light electrical, and plumbing. We even built out a basement kitchenette and bathroom from scratch.
I gutted and prep my kitchen myself after the kitchen & bath company's general contractor quoted me $17,000. After the cabinets were installed, I also handled the plumbing and other finishes myself.
They call on me when they need help shaping a vision—designing spaces, sourcing finishes and fixtures, or figuring out how to tackle projects thoughtfully and efficiently.
